I took the initiative to introduce co-education as being the need of present day social and professional setup. Both boys and girls must learn to coexist and shoulder their responsibilities as responsible citizens.

Shahzada Nand College Amritsar, affiliated to Guru Nanak Dev University, is a Multi-faculty, NACC accredited, co-educational institute providing quality Higher Education. Our worthy president Mrs. Sushma Mehra ji is a highly enterprising, sagacious, bold, farsighted, active and dynamic leader who took the college to new heights. We take pride in our infrastructural facilities, student and staff support systems, excellent teaching and learning environment, for all round development of personality of our students. The College offers wide range of courses including traditional, professional, career oriented, and skill development along with the various co-curricular activities like NCC, NSS, music and sports based on the requirements for the modern society. We have a dedicated team of faculty, striving hard to provide the students with the latest knowledge and skills that would help them to stand out in this fiercely competitive world. Our teaching learning process is constantly evolving and with changing times, we aspire and successfully create outstanding human resources.

About College
Shahzada Nand College was established at Amritsar in 1967 to perpetuate the noble and inspiring memory of Late Sh. Shahzada Nand Mehra, a visionary and a great philanthropist. Since then college has attained greater heights of excellence in providing quality education as it has been accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The college is affiliated to Guru Nanak Dev University and recieves grant-in-aid from State Government as well as Central Govenment. Keeping pace with the changing scenario of education, the college keeps updating its courses, infrastructure, physical as well as digital. The college has Wi-Fi and air-conditioned computer labs. The college faculty is highly qualified and experienced. At present it is a multi-faculty co-educational institute catering to all segments of society especially the underprivileged and marginalised. Students from far flung rural areas are encouaged to take admission in order to take admission in order to facilitate their empowerment.
Besides academics, college also provides opportunities for young talents and extra-curricular activities. College has consistently scored top positions in Youth Festivals conducted by Guru Nanak Dev University.
